Author Visits and Creative Writing Workshops

I can offer a variety of bespoke workshops for Secondary schools. Below are a just few ideas. I am happy to discuss others with you, if you have something in mind. They can be adapted for MAT groups, English Language and Literature classes, Creative Writing groups and engagement groups. As well as a published author, I am a trained secondary school teacher, and have an up-to-date CRB.

ABOUT
I have always had a passion for writing. I completed an MA in creative writing and have had short stories and poems published. Too Dark To See is my debut novel.  Alongside my writing I teach creative writing and English Literature.

Mother of two, lover of nature with a neurodivergent outlook on life. I love to travel and I love to come home and stare at the sea!
I believe everyone is capable of writing. Everyone can use language to craft, create, cajole meaning into being. It is our birthright to use language and to make it ours. Words give me confidence and help me fly. Let’s use our words to change the world.
Writers who have coloured my life: Malorie Blackman, JK Rowling, Sarah Waters, Raymond Carver, Elie Wiesel, Jeanette Winterson, Virginia Woolf, Rolad Dahl, Toni Morrison, Sylvia Plath, Hilary Mantel...
